The very narrow interdental spaces
Advice & Guidance

Floss has been used since the very early days
One might think that dental floss and toothpicks are modern inventions, but our distant ancestors had similar methods. When the cavemen sat around the fire and rested their stomachs after a meal, they used, among other things, horse hair, as we now use dental floss.
Many millennia later, silk floss was put into production, and since then, nylon floss, as we know it today, was added.

Use of dental floss - why it is so important
There are places where even the best toothbrushes and interdental brushes can't reach. Where teeth are so close together or crowded that food debris is regularly left behind forming a breeding ground for bacteria, which will in time form plaque.
Flossing is a safe solution to keep your teeth clean and prevent plaque, which can develop into cavities and gingivitis. Therefore, dentists recommend daily use of dental floss to keep the teeth clean and the gums healthy.
Ordinary dental floss in a roll is available in both round and flat versions and contains 25 meters of dental floss, which can be easily torn off to the desired length, typically 40 cm.

The TANDEX FLOSI floss holder is an alternative that is easy to use if you are not familiar with handling regular dental floss. Here, the dental floss is mounted on a plastic holder, which tightens and holds the floss. It is a perfect tool for cleaning small spaces between the teeth.
TANDEX FLOSI floss is treated with activated carbon, which reduces bacterial growth. Note - the sharp end of the flosser can be used as a toothpick in larger tooth spaces.

Tooth flosser
Not all teeth are where the use of regular dental floss is optimal because it can be difficult to get to. If you wear braces, for example, the thread may get stuck and fray. With its wax-treated surface, TANDEX' dental floss is suitable for braces because it slides more easily and does not thread.
