How long do I need to brush my teeth?

Minimum 2 minutes is the advise

Did you know that professionals recommend that you brush your teeth for a minimum of 2 minutes - 1 minute just isn't long enough to do a proper job. On a busy day it might seem easier to cut corners and not spend as long brushing, but your teeth deserve better.

We can have up to 32 teeth that need to be brushed on ALL surfaces twice a day, this can't be done effectively in under 2 minutes. To help you spend long enough brushing you can use a stopwatch, egg timer or even your mobile phone, you can even get apps to help with this. And don't forget to clean interdentally too!

How to brush your teeth properly

Keep your toothbrush perpendicular to the boundary between tooth and gums. Brush with small, circular rubbing movements, approx. 6-10 times on each tooth before continuing with the next tooth. Both the front and back of the teeth should be brushed this way before you finish cleaning the chewing surfaces. Remember to get all the way to the back teeth. Here it is an advantage that the brush head is not too big so you can get to properly.

Avoid tooth damage when brushing teeth

Are you one of those people who pushes hard when you brush your teeth? Then you can risk damaging your teeth by making abrasive marks. Put your effort into brushing your teeth properly instead. Some toothbrushes are simply too hard, so they do more harm than good. TANDEX 'toothbrushes are made of specially adapted nylon, which even in the toughest version ensures an effective and gentle cleaning of the teeth without damage.

Toothbrushing is important for both your well-being and the future of your teeth.

Morning toothbrushing removes bacteria from the night and breakfast so you can go out into the world with clean teeth and fresh breath. When you brush your teeth in the evening, you can lie down to sleep with a clear conscience that all traces of the day's food and drinks have been removed from your teeth.

Remember that teeth are about quality of life and health

In addition to the clean and fresh feeling, you also extend the life of your teeth by taking good care of them and brushing them twice a day for at least two minutes. An investment that pays off in the long run.
